It is no secret that Erdogan desires to transform Turkey away from a parliamentary system to a presidential system and he even opined at one point that Turkey will soon resemble the "best" government there ever was, Adolph Hitler's Nazi Party.
As alarming as that is, the Western governments continue to stupidly chug along with Erdogan because, after all, Turkey is the land bridge linking Europe and Asia, and second point to consider, Erdogan successfully grabbed the ineffective European Union by the balls with a blackmail/racketeering scheme of holding back the "horde" of Muslim "refugees" in Turkey.
The worst part of all this is that very little Christian bloggers and media are paying attention to this. While so many are focused on an European Union Antichrist or the continued fear mongering of Russia's resurgence on international stage, Turkey continues their backward transformation away from Westernized democracy toward an Islamic system that will end up in a grand caliphate.
Yeni Safak publication, which is unapologetically pro-Erdogan, had dropped an amazing opinion piece by one of its columnists on August 9, 2016. Below are snippets of quote that should stun the readers if they are willing to pay attention:
When it came to calling the Chief of General Staff Gen. Hulusi Akar to the stage, I think our president is very skillful “in healing the wounds.”
And by presenting Akar to those millions of people, he healed a wound.
When the people see him and hear his voice, they feel resurrected and he feels resurrected when he sees the protective and embracing attitude of the people… And it is a gain for Turkey. Our president is not only a leader but our destiny. This is amazing. If the reader has any understanding, they will immediately recall to mind the prophetic words of St. John:
And I saw one of his heads as it were slain to death: and his death's wound was healed. And all the earth was in admiration after the beast. Revelation 13:3, DRAAlmost immediately after the so-called July 15 coup, I was inspired to create this image:
decisions to overturn a clause that protects children from sex abuse. Self-declared calipahte of ISIS has already earned international outrage for child bride but to see this happening in Turkey long championed to be proof of how democracy can work in the ever violatile Middle East should sound the alarm bell around the world.
Unfortunately, like Jesus rhetoric on the blind leading the blind, the Western governments continues to turn blind eyes to Turkey's backward progression.
This should not surprise the readers because St. John penned:
and they did not repent of their murders nor of their sorceries nor of their immorality nor of their thefts. Revelation 9:21, NASBEven though Erdogan has to yet declare himself a god, he has met most of the benchmark of being the most likely candidate to be the Antichrist declared over two thousands year ago in the Epistle of John:
Children, it is the last hour; and just as you heard that antichrist is coming, even now many antichrists have appeared; from this we know that it is the last hour. [...] Who is the liar but the one who denies that Jesus is the Christ? This is the antichrist, the one who denies the Father and the Son. 1 John 2:18, 22, NASBAnte-Nicene Father, St. Irenaeus of Lyons (a.d. 120-202), had this marvelous insight to say of the coming Antichrist:
And not only by the particulars already mentioned, but also by means of the events which shall occur in the time of Antichrist is it shown that he, being an apostate and a robber, is anxious to be adored as God; and that, although a mere slave, he wishes himself to be proclaimed as a king. For he (Antichrist) being endued with all the power of the devil, shall come, not as a righteous king, nor as a legitimate king, [i.e., one] in subjection to God, but an impious, unjust, and lawless one; as an apostate, iniquitous and murderous; as a robber, concentrating in himself [all] satanic apostasy, and setting aide idols to persuade [men] that he himself is God, raising up himself as the only idol, having in himself the multifarious errors of the other idols. This he does, in order that they who do [now] worship the devil by means of many abominations, may serve himself by this one idol, of whom the apostle thus speaks in the second Epistle to the Thessalonians: "Unless there shall come a failing away first, and the man of sin shall be revealed, the son of perdition, who oppseth and exalteth himself above all that is called God, or that is worshipped; so that he sitteth in the temple of God, showing himself as if he were God." The apostle therefore clearly points out his apostasy, and that he is lifted up above all that is called God, or that is worshipped -- that is, above every idol -- for these are indeed so called by men, but are not [really] gods; and that he will enedeavour in a tyrannical manner to set himself forth as God. Chapter XXV, 1, Against Heresies: Book V
- He would be endowed with the power of the devil. In the Book of Revelation, chapter 13, there is a picture of the dragon standing on the shore of a sea and arose out of the sea came a terrible caricature of evil. Interestingly, several months ago, Erdogan hosted the Organization of Islamic Countries, and what is more amazing is at one point during the summit, Erdogan hosted the leaders of the organization aboard the presidential yacht.
- Erdogan, directly and indirectly, has ordered for every "plotters" to be dismissed, arrested, and removed from their respective office. This has prompted international alarm over the seemingly violation of rule of laws. Does this not make Erdogan the "lawless one?"
- Erdogan has already been said to have all the qualities of Allah in him. Does this not make him an object of worship already?
As the columnist for Yeni Safak wrote, "All of us are Recep Tayyip Erdoğan…"
