Bombshell! Erdogan Proclaim A Resurrection Of The Ottoman Empire Will Happen Soon

In a stunning news report from Turkey's English language newspaper, Hurriyet Daily News, president Recep Erdogan announced the whole purpose of the upcoming constitutional change was to gather all the executive power into one hands.

However, the most startling revelation comes near the end of the article:

“April 16 will be a rebirth. I hope this will be a new resurrection, [and] it will be a sign of revival. We will receive the outcome that would be shameful for those who do not trust you and those who don’t believe in you,” he said.
Referring to recent terror attacks in Turkey, Erdo─čan said, “Turkey needs strong governance.”

“Turkey needs strong governance while it passes through its fragile era. We have to change the system to come to a conclusion in our fight against terrorism; [we have to shift to the new system] for the success of our fight in the region and to attain our 2023 targets,” he said.
Folks, this is getting serious.  Several months ago, I noted Turkey was transforming and almost nobody were talking about it, and discussed how Erdogan could potentially be the Antichrist, however, never in my wildest dream would I hear a man make this bold proclamation.  It is time for Christians to start paying attention to what is going on in Turkey.

Under Erdogan's rule, Turkey has transformed from a stable, European-stylized democracy toward a more Islamic caliphate based system.  That is what Erdogan was hinting at in the constitutional change.  It is the entire reason why the July 15 coup took place.

The reality behind the July 15 coup has almost nothing to do with his accusation of Gulen or his network of terrorists being behind the coup, and everything to do with Erdogan's lack of patience with the process of democracy.

Erdogan infamously said of democracy, "You ride it until you arrive at your destination, then you step off."  In other words, democracy is useful until it no longer serves his needs and changes accordingly.  The New York Times detailed his rise of fame and it appears that he is just warming up for the grand finale.

What's more, the referendum of the constitutional change is slated to take place on April 16, and for those of us who follows Christian's holidays, it falls on the day of Christ's Resurrection on the Gregorian calendar!  It is almost as if satan decided to take a prophecy of Christ, flip it upside down and apply it to himself:
Jesus answered them, “Destroy this temple, and in three days I will raise it up.”  The Jews then said, “This temple has been under construction for forty-six years, and will you raise it up in three days?”  But he was speaking of the temple of his body.  After he was raised from the dead, his disciples remembered that he had said this; and they believed the scripture and the word that Jesus had spoken.  John 2:19-22, NRSV
As I stated in the earlier blog post, it is becoming more apparent that Erdogan, unknowingly, is fulfilling the most enigmatic prophetic piece from the Apocalypse:
And I saw a beast rising out of the sea, having ten horns and seven heads; and on its horns were ten diadems, and on its heads were blasphemous names.  And the beast that I saw was like a leopard, its feet were like a bear’s, and its mouth was like a lion’s mouth. And the dragon gave it his power and his throne and great authority. One of its heads seemed to have received a death-blow, but its mortal wound had been healed. In amazement the whole earth followed the beast.  They worshiped the dragon, for he had given his authority to the beast, and they worshiped the beast, saying, “Who is like the beast, and who can fight against it?”  Revelation 13:1-4, NRSV
Understanding the 2023 Date

Erdogan has repeatedly spoke of the 2023 target for completion and it is time to explain why 2023 is significant for Erdogan and like-minded followers.  As some people may know, I have studied the Sykes-Picot Agreement in great depth, but to summarize, the Sykes-Picot Agreement was an agreement drawn up between the British and French powers to break up the Ottoman Empire at the conclusion of WWI.  Tsar of Russia originally signed on the Agreement, but the Bolshevik Revolution broke out, murdered the entire Tsar family and Russia withdrew from the Agreement.

The Sykes-Picot Agreement
While the Sykes-Picot was implemented in 1916-1917, it was not until a very important treaty was signed that officially recognized the modern border of Turkey, the 1923 Treaty of Lausanne.  From Britannica.com:
Treaty of Lausanne, (1923), final treaty concluding World War I. It was signed by representatives of Turkey (successor to the Ottoman Empire) on one side and by Britain, France, Italy, Japan, Greece, Romania, and the Kingdom of Serbs, Croats, and Slovenes (Yugoslavia) on the other. The treaty was signed at Lausanne, Switz., on July 24, 1923, after a seven-month conference.

The treaty recognized the boundaries of the modern state of Turkey. Turkey made no claim to its former Arab provinces and recognized British possession of Cyprus and Italian possession of the Dodecanese. The Allies dropped their demands of autonomy for Turkish Kurdistan and Turkish cession of territory to Armenia, abandoned claims to spheres of influence in Turkey, and imposed no controls over Turkey’s finances or armed forces. The Turkish straits between the Aegean Sea and the Black Sea were declared open to all shipping.
Now we can fully understand the obsession behind Erdogan's dream of having the clock and the map turned back to pre-WWI era.  It is why Syria, with President Bashar Assad leading, is the final piece of the Humpty Dumpty map of the Middle East.

In an opinion piece column by another Turkey's English-language paper, Yeni Safak, a columnist is unbashedly an Erdogan worshiper wrote:

We are a nation that has brought Anatolia, this region, the cradle of civilization, back on its feet again after the Crusaders, after the Mongols and we have stepped forward to do it one more time after World War I. This is why we are striving for the “Big Turkey” struggle, for a deep transformation first in Anatolia, first in Turkey. [...]
First, Turkey should be saved. It should be freed from the century-long tutelage and return to its actual self, be able to stand on its feet, live its own anger and happiness, choose its own friends and enemies. The region will not revive before Turkey is revived. No country can get back on its feet before Turkey does. This path will not be tread unless the people of Anatolia give support; unless they lead, surrounding communities cannot breathe. This is why everyone's eyes are on us. This is why the curse of those who paid a price, who sacrificed their lives for these lands are on us. [...]
Now, the backbone, that great power is going to make another decision on April 16. Another one of the most critical thresholds of the systemic transformation is going to be overcome. The most important link in the chain of dependency is going to be eliminated. With the referendum, Turkey is going to switch from the category of a small and medium-scale country to the category of a super country. On April 16, another one of the most serious leaps of our political history is going to take place.
The columnist is actually calling for Erdogan to save Turkey.  It is the form of messianic delusion that the Scriptures foretold would happen.
Let no one deceive you in any way; for that day will not come unless the rebellion comes first and the lawless one is revealed, the one destined for destruction. He opposes and exalts himself above every so-called god or object of worship, so that he takes his seat in the temple of God, declaring himself to be God. [...] For the mystery of lawlessness is already at work, but only until the one who now restrains it is removed.  And then the lawless one will be revealed, whom the Lord Jesus will destroy with the breath of his mouth, annihilating him by the manifestation of his coming.  The coming of the lawless one is apparent in the working of Satan, who uses all power, signs, lying wonders,  and every kind of wicked deception for those who are perishing, because they refused to love the truth and so be saved.  For this reason God sends them a powerful delusion, leading them to believe what is false,  so that all who have not believed the truth but took pleasure in unrighteousness will be condemned. 2 Thessalonians 2:3-47-12, NRSV
Right now, it appears that it is Assad who is restraining this from happening, and it is why Erdogan wants him gone in the worst possible way.  Assad, a Muslim, recently attended a Christmas Mass after his army, backed by Russia, finally freed Aleppo of Islamic State.

Unfortunately, Christians, already brutalized by the treatments of Islamic State, are only getting a temporary reprieve as Turkey is actively seeking to expand beyond the Lausanne Treaty's borders.  While Assad is well regarded by Christians and Muslims residing in Syria, Erdogan has made it clear that any kind of peace will have to Assad removed from the equation.  Looking at the Sykes-Picot map, it is clear that Turkey would very much like to return Syria to their own fold and return to the Ottoman Empire rule.

Time is running short.  Things are changing rapidly in the Middle East, once the cradle of civilization now turning into a massive graveyard of grudges being entertained and blood shed.

I will keep monitoring the news chatter from the Middle East and keep you posted.
